Germany's Schäfer takes Heptathlon gold

Germany's Carolin Schäfer won the Heptathlon on the final day of the European Athletics Junior Championships on Sunday with a personal best tally of 5691 points. The key to her success was a tremendous personal-best throw of 48.20m in the Javelin, an improvement of more than a metre, in the penultimate of the seven events.

Van der Plaetsen makes Belgian history in Novi Sad
