The thunderous applause in Moscow's historic CSKA Arena, left little doubt about the winners of the 4th edition of the European Indoor Cup as host nation Russia swept comprehensive victories in both the men and women’s competitions.

Russia won the men's event for the first time by a massive margin of 18 points with a total haul of 67 ahead of Spain who finished second with 49 points and Italy third with 46.
Russia defend women's title on home turf in Moscow

The Russian women maintained their 100 per cent record in the European Athletics Indoor Cup, taking six individual victories in 11 events to win by a record-breaking 24-point margin. Germany bagged second with 53 points and Spain were third with 50.
