The European Athletics Golden Tracks awards ceremony held in Lausanne, Switzerland, will be available across the world through live streaming via the homepage of www.european-athletics.org starting from 20:30 local time on Saturday 17 October.
News highlights will also be made available to the European Broadcasting Union and its members following the event.
We will also take you behind the scenes of the Golden Tracks by posting clips and photos of the most exciting moments in the lead up to the event and on the evening on our Twitter, Facebook and YouTube pages.
European Athletics will not announce the winners until the evening of the awards that will take place at the SwissTech Convention Centre in Lausanne.
All four winners of the men's and women's European Athlete of the Year and Rising Star awards, who will each receive Golden Tracks trophies, will be present in Lausanne to collect their prizes.
The winning athletes are decided by counting votes from the fans, media, European Athletics Member Federations as well as an expert European Athletics panel, with the results from each group of voters counting for one quarter of the athlete's final score.
Over 80,000 fans cast their votes on social media.
On the same evening of the Golden Tracks, European Athletics will also recognise the winners of the Women’s Leaderships Awards, to recognise and celebrate women leaders in the sport of athletics. The main criterion is “a significant contribution that serves as an example of leadership and other values of the sport of athletics”.
The European Athletics Coaching Awards, meanwhile, will recognise the invaluable contributions made by coaches at all levels to the sport of athletics.
