Slovakia’s Matej Toth will be competing at home in the 20km at the 33rd edition of the Dudince race walking permit meeting on Saturday 22 March.
Toth has chosen to run the 20km as opposed to the 50km in Dudince as he continues to prepare for the European Athletics Championships in Zurich where he plans to compete over the longer distance.
He will be up against Olympic medallist Jared Tallent of Australia who will no doubt provide a good test for Toth.
Last year when the European Cup Race Walking was staged in Dudince in May, Toth took bronze for Slovakia over 20km with 1:21:51.
Three Rafals will represent Poland in the 50km on Saturday with Rafal Augustyn winner here in 2010, Rafal Fedaczynski who took eighth place at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing and Rafal Sikora who is in strong shape.
Victory will surely be decided between the three Pols who are the most talented walkers to be competing over 50km in Dudince.
