AIPS poll sees Lavillenie & Saladuha voted best athletes of Helsinki 2012

The International Sports Press Association (AIPS) announced that triple jump queen Olha Saladuha (UKR) and pole vaulter Renaud Lavillenie (FRA) have been voted the best athletes of the Helsinki 2012 European Athletics Championships.

One hundred and four accredited international journalists and photographers participated in voting for the laureates of the Best Athletes of championships that concluded Sunday.

It is the first time that AIPS has conducted such a poll.

Both the best male and female athletes will be presented with a special AIPS trophy.
