The Greek Athletics Federation have selected four Jumpers and a Sprint Hurdler to defend their countries honour at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia.

The team is headed up by the countries top Triple Jump and Long Jump specialists; the versatile Hrisopiyí Devetzí and European Indoor Long Jump silver medallist Loúis Tsátoumas.

The highly experienced Devetzí will compete in her main event, the Triple Jump, before making a decision about her participation in the Long Jump.  Devetzí is hoping to find Spanish gold in Valencia, for although the 32-year-old athlete boasts a collection of nine Olympic, World and European medals, she has never taken top honours.

In the woman's Pole Vault, 21-year-old Nikoléta Kiriakopoúlou will be looking to improve on her new Greek record of 4.40m set in Athens last weekend, while on the track, it will be the job of 31-year-old Greek Indoor 60m Hurdles record holder, Flóra Redoúmi to take on the likes of Sweden's latest World record breaker Susanna Kallur.
