Weltklasse - the high profile Golden League event affectionately known as the Olympics in three hours - boasts not just Europe's top stars from Beijing, but also some of best potential battles of the season.
Belgium's shock Olympic High Jump Champion Tia Hellebaut appeared to do the impossible in Beijing by ending Croatian World Champion Blanka Vlasic's massive 34-meeting win streak.
The low profile Belgian produced a similar shock win in the World Indoor Pentathlon this year, proving not only her versatility, but her amazing strength and ability to perform when it counts.
The 30-year-old European Indoor and Outdoor High Jump Champion could be getting ready to upset the apple cart again tomorrow, when she challenges Vlasic again - this time for her right to a share of the million dollar jackpot!
Europe's favourite Pole Vaulting Russian will also be on hand to add to the drama. Double Olympic Champion and 24-times world record breaker, Yelena Isinbayeva will grace the capacity crowd at the Letzigrund stadium with what is sure to be another show stopping performance.
In a true all star line up, Isinbayeva will be joined by her podium pals Jenn Stuczynski (USA) and Svetlana Feofanova (RUS) as competition, in fact the top seven women from Beijing all feature on the start list.
In the men's field it is all about the Javelin throwers! Andreas Thorkildsen's historic title defence in Beijing last week saw him break the Olympic records with his 90.57m winning throw and he will once again be going head-to-head with his friend and long-term rival, World Javelin Champion Tero Pitkämäki. Beijing fourth placer Tero Järvenpää (FIN) will also take to the field to complete the mighty Scandinavian trio.
In total, 14 new Olympic Champions, and 41 medallists, are expected to participate.
