Franco Arese stays at
the helm of FIDAL.

Former European 1500m champion Franco Arese has been re-elected President of Italian Athletics Federation FIDAL for next four years.

At the elections convened during the National Assembly of the FIDAL, Arese was unanimously re-elected with 90.56 per cent votes.

Arese is also the president of the Organizing Committee of the 2009 European Athletics Indoor Championships to be held in Torino from March 6-8.

Among those elected for the Federal Council are Alberto Morini, Stefano Andreatta, Andrea, Rosolino Siculiana , Adriano Rossi, Marcello Bindi, Franco Angelotti, John Caruso, Giuseppe Scorzoso, Pierluigi Migliorini, Fausto Riccardi, and Alessandro Castelli.

Laurent Ottoz, Francesco De Feo, Giacomo Leone and Stefano Mei were elected as Athlete representatives of FIDAL.
