With less than 200 days to go, the organisers of the Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships have announced that 125,000 tickets have been sold for Germany's largest sporting event of the year, something that has never happened before in the long history of the European Athletics Championships.

The Berlin 2018 European Athletics Championships, part of the first multi-sport European Championships along with co-hosts Glasgow, will take place between 7-12 August.

Not many tickets remain for the lower tier at Berlin Olympic Stadium but several blocks of the upper tier of the stadium are now on sale.

Tickets are in the price categories 1 -3 and the popular family tickets are also available again for all sessions.

However, be quick in buying your tickets if you have not done so already. Tickets are close being sold out for the evening sessions of Saturday 11 August 2018 and the last day of competition on Sunday 12 August.

Tickets can be purchased online here.

'I am delighted that 125,000 tickets have already been sold so far. In the history of the European Athletics Championships, such a great pre-sale result has never been seen seven months before the start of the event,' commented Jürgen Kessing, President of the German athletics federation

'Congratulations to the entire organising team of Berlin 2018 for their outstanding work. Now it is time to take advantage of the great interest and make a big impact so that the European Athletics Championships will become an unforgettable athletics festival for spectators and athletes in front of a great crowd at Berlin Olympic Stadium,' he added.
