The European Athletics Competition Commission concluded its three-day meeting in Rome on Sunday 28 September.

The commission, led by European Athletics First Vice President José Luis De Carlos, analysed the progress of European Athletics' events and reviewed the Zurich 2014 European Athletics Championships.

The commission also studied the applications for the 2015 European Athletics Permit Meetings and evaluated the report from the One Day Meetings working group.

The appointed working groups presented their reports and recommendations to the commission on the topics of Calendar, event bidding and presentation,  proposals for appointments for European Athletics events and meetings, and regulations changes. One important topic of discussion was the proposal for a new competition and meetings structure and eligibility regulations for the European Athletics Championships.

Competition Commission members Mikhail Butov, Pierce O'Callaghan, Dobromir Karamarinov, Ivica Matijevic, Toralf Nilsson, Frank O.Hamm, Anna Riccardi, Jorge Salcedo, Jean-Pierre Schoebel, Libor Varhanik and European Athletics Head of Competition Célia Mendes were present during the meeting.
