It was a year to remember for European Athletics, with golden performances and wonderful achievements as the true spirit of the sport shone through.
There were so many glorious moments...Dafne Schippers winning 100m gold in front of her home crowd at the European Athletics Championship in Amsterdam, the tears of joy for Belgian decathlete Thomas Van der Plaetsen, on top of the podium having battled back after being diagnosed with cancer, our Golden Tracks awards, the opening of the House of European Athletics and the SPAR European Cross Country Championships among so many.
European Athletics would like to take this opportunity to thank all those people who make it happen – our stakeholders, the officials, the volunteers and the fans, whose support brought such noise and excitement to the unfolding action.
