The second edition of the European Running Business Conference will be held in the Czech capital of Prague from 6-8 September 2019 and registration is already open here.
The conference will be organised by European Athletics and supported by RunCzech and MYLAPS with other event partners to be announced in upcoming months.
Dutch sports timing company MYLAPS has once again developed the official app for the European Running Business Conference which can been downloaded here. Attendees can register for the European Running Business Conference via the app from today through until 5 September 2019.
“The 2017 European Running Business Conference attracted key stakeholders in the running industry not just from Europe - but from around the world. And I’m sure there will be even more participants in 2019 now the word is out,” said European Athletics President Svein Arne Hansen, who opened the 2017 European Running Business Conference.
The European Running Business Conference took place for the first time in Frankfurt, Germany last October in conjunction with the annual Mainova Frankfurt Marathon.You can watch the highlights video of the 2017 European Running Business Conference here.
The inaugural conference which attracted 282 participants from 48 countries from across the globe was a huge success and had a major impact on European running.The feedback received by the organisers was also overwhelmingly positive. In total, 99 percent of the delegates said attending the conference proved a worthwhile and valuable experience.
Attendees in Frankfurt included race organisers, industry specialists, sponsors and media representatives for a two day programme.Top speakers in 2017 included RunCzech President Carlo Capalbo, London Marathon CEO Nick Bitel, Golazo CEO Bob Verbeeck, AIMS President Paco Borao and many others. Another excellent roster will be assembled for Prague next September, and announced in coming months.
The conference will also be held in conjunction with the popular Birell Prague Grand Prix on 7 September, one of nine RunCzech races due to take place in 2019.
Seven RunCzech races - including the Birell Prague Grand Prix - also received five-star certification from European Athletics Running for All in 2018, a key pillar of European Athletics’ road running strategy.
With support from European Athletics, the Mattoni Ceske Budejovice Half Marathon and Mattoni Karlovy VaryHalf Marathon also participated in RunCzech’s flagship ‘EuroHeroes’ project to support elite-level distance running in Czech Republic - and Europe more widely - and to inspire and engage non-elite runners.
During the European Running Business Conference, MYLAPS Sports Timing will share the latest insights in the running industry and showcase the newest timing solutions combined with software services– such as mobile apps and photo and video solutions-to enhance the event experience.
