Top level athletics will resume in Poland on 20 June at the Slaski Stadium in Chorzow, the track which will be staging the 2021 World Athletics Relays next year.

The competition will be made up of 10 events in total and will take place under the safety rules and guidelines set by the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Sport and the Polish Athletics Association.

One of the highlights of the programme will be a 300m head-to-head featuring European 400m champion Justyna Swiety-Ersetic against her training partner Anna Kielbasinska who also helped Poland to the 4x400m relay title at the Glasgow 2019 European Athletics Indoor Championships last March.

'This season is different for all obvious reasons. To take the form to a higher level we need competition and we have been lacking this so far. Usually in June I already had a few meetings behind me which is why I am glad that I will finally be able to compete in my favourite stadium. On 20 June, I will run the 300m. I can't wait, I love to run at the Silesian Stadium, this track gives me a positive boost of energy,' said Swiety-Ersetic.

Rafal Omelko and Lukasz Krawczuk, both of whom were part of the world record-breaking 4x400m relay team at the 2018 World Indoor Championships, are also confirmed for the men’s 300m while European champion Wojciech Nowicki and 2017 European indoor champion Konrad Bukowiecki are confirmed for the hammer and shot put respectively.
