Among the latest big names to be announced by the organisers is Russia's 2011 European Athletics Indoor Championships and European Athletics U23 Championships long jump gold medallist Darya Klishina.
The Russian will be sending many other athletes who will be hoping to make an impact not just in Scotland but also at the World Indoor Championships in Istanbul in seven weeks time.
Also in their team is the in-form pole vaulter Dmitry Starodubtsev, who cleared a world-leading 5.90m on 29 December and followed it up with a 5.80m clearance last weekend.
Another athlete to watch should be hurdler Tatyana Dektyareva, who won the 100m hurdles at the SPAR European Team Championships last year and then finished fifth at the World Championships, running her season's best of 12.76 in Daegu semi-finals.
Among the top German names in the international match between hosts Great Britain and Northern Ireland and teams from the United States, Germany, Russia and a Commonwealth Select squad, are the 2010 European Athletics Championships 1500m silver medallist Carsten Schlangen and 2011 SPAR European Cross Country Championships under 23 women's bronze medallist Corinna Harrer, who only turned 21 on Thursday.
