Swiss quartet to make history in London | 18.07.2012
Having run the 14th best average time worldwide (the two best times in 2011 and 2012 being taken into account), the Swiss quartet of Michelle Cueni, Jacqueline Gasser, Ellen Sprunger and Léa Sprunger qualified for the London Olympic Games, a historic achievement.
The ultimate goal for the Swiss sprint relay squad is to win a medal at the 2014 European Athletics Championships in Zurich. This project is being sponsored by UBS.
Thanks to this partnership, competitive rival nations can be invited to compete in Switzerland. Therefore, on 23 August, Athletissima will feature an international relay race: the UBS Trophy.
