The final entries for the ECCC Track & Field Group A and B are now available to view and can be found under Related Documents.

The ECCC Track & Field Group A takes place in Castellon, Spain on 25-26 May while Group B in Tampere, Finland is a one day competition taking place on 25 May.

Turkish club Enka won the men’s competition in Birmingham twelve months ago and there is a fair chance another Turkish club will be in the ascendency this year as reigning world and European champion Ramil Guliyev could claim 24 points with victories in the 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay.

Sport Lisboa e Benfica finished second last year and will return as a collective to contest for team honours in Castellon. The star names on their team including Pedro Pablo Pichardo in the triple jump and Poland’s European indoor 1500m champion Marcin Lewandowski who drops down in distance to contest the 800m.

On the women’s side, Sporting Clube de Portugal will be prospecting for another team title but they can expect a stern challenge from last year’s runners-up Enka whose team includes Ivet Lalova-Collio in the 100m and 200m and Yasemin Can in the 3000m.

Just three weeks after clocking a 2:19:46 lifetime best for victory in the Prague Marathon, Israel’s European 10,000m champion Lonah Chemtai Salpeter will be racing over 1500m for Maccabi Tel Aviv at the ECCC Track & Field Group B.

Another European champion in action is marathon gold medallist Koen Naert from Belgium who is representing RESC in the 5000m.
