MUIR L (GBR)
- Gold 4:05.92
I feel amazing I did everything I can and I´m definitely going to sleep well tonight.
I´ve just got to go out there as quickly as I can. I wouldn't have been happy with anything else except the gold. The crowd were crazy and they really helped. A huge amount of support from my team has been instrumental. I owe them so much.
I´m so relieved. This was a big test this weekend and a lot of pressure. I am so happy that I could deliver.
On being the first athlete to win the ´double-double´of 1500m and 3000m at consectuive championships:
That is pretty special. We set out to do just one event a few months ago and then we thought why not go for the double.
I never thoguht I´d have another chance to do that in Glasgow and to do it on my own track is special.
ENNAOUI S (POL)
- Silver 4:09.30
It was a really difficult run for me. I was running after MUIR (GBR) for a good distance. She was better prepared. Her results are just phenomenal. For a person who wants to get better and defeat her it´s not an easy job.
It was a competitive run and an exhausting one. I am happy with the silver and will treat it as a great achievement. I am happy for my colleague LEWANDOWSKI (Marcin, POL, men´s 1500m gold). He was amazing.
MAGEEAN C (IRL)
- Bronze 4:09.43
I am absolutley delighted, words can't quite sum it up. It means so much to me to win a medal.
The accumulation of all the hard work I have put in, my coaches and my family and friends, and the whole of Ireland. This is what it is all about.
I stepped out on the track today and I have tried to change my mindset and say I am lucky to be here and this is an absolute privilege. I just went out there and laid it all on the track and I am so happy to win a medal for Ireland.
