SPAR Euro Cross televised in 12 countries

The SPAR European Cross Country Championships in Chia will be televised in 12 European countries this weekend.

Twelve International Broadcasters from across the continent televised the Chia 2016 SPAR European Cross Country Championships on 11 December.

National Broadcasters in Belgium, Finland, Ireland, host country Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom and Turkey showed more than 23 hours of live or delayed coverage of the championships' 23rd edition.

"This strong television coverage confirms the value broadcasters attach to the SPAR European Cross Country Championships," said European Athletics President Svein Arne Hansen.

European Athletics will also stream live on the www.european-athletics.org homepage the SPAR European Cross Country Championships on 11 December with English-language commentary.

Athletics fans around the world will be able to watch the championships live in their entirety.

The live streaming platform is provided in partnership with European Athletics' principal sponsor SPAR.

The livestream will be geo-blocked in Finland, Italy, Latvia, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom.
