The international elite sport training conference will be held this year from 27-29 November in Pajulahti Olympic Training Center, Finland. This year´s focus will be on training for endurance sports.

The organisers have managed to convince top level coaches, athletes and other experts from Europe to give inside details of their daily trainings via lectures and practical demonstrations.

One of the most awaited guests is Jerónimo Bravo Rodríguez, Spanish long-distance running coach who coaches the leading Eritrean athletes such as the half-marathon world record holder Zersenay Tadese. Bravo has coached Tadese most of his career, making him one of the world's best endurance runners. Tadese has been especially successful over the half-marathon, distance in which he holds the world record and has been world champion five times.

Another key speaker is Johan Voogd, Dutch long-distance running coach who coaches the rising long-distance running star Jip Vastenburg. Vastenburg is the current European under-23 champion at 10000m and was the European junior 5000m champion in 2013.

Guy Storbacka and Camilla Richardsson will represent Finland as the local guests. Storbacka is the most distinguished steeplechase coach in Finland and is currently coaching Camilla Richardsson, who finished fourth at the European U23 championships in Tallinn. Storbacka has also coached other elite athletes such as the Finnish steeplechase record holder Sandra Eriksson.

Besides athletics, triathlon will also be strongly represented in the Pajulahti Endurance Conference with the participation of coaches Iñigo Mujika and Paul Sjöholm as well as triathletes Kaisa Lehtonen and Jussi Lotvonen.

Mujika is currently coaching the Olympic distance triathlete Ainhoa Murua (the two-time European medallist) and has in the past coached multiple Ironman triathlon winner Eneko Llanos. Paul Sjöholm is the coach of Kaisa Lehtonen, current European middle distance triathlon champion and two-time long-distance World Championships medallist. To offer a different point of view about triathlon, para-athlete Jussi Lotvonen, who has represented the Finnish national Parahockey team since 2007 and is now shifting to paratriathlon, is among the speakers.

The last guests of the conference are Veli-Pekka Valkonen and Veikko Sinisalo who will lecture about recovery and training methods. Valkonen is a physiotherapist and nutritionist who works with elite athletes. Sinisalo is a successful rowing coach who has coached among others the Czech double scull team and Olympic medal winners Sanna Stén and Minna Nieminen.
