Spotakova, the javelin World record-holder and double Olympic champion, is counting down to her major return to the sport after giving birth to a son just over a year ago.
Her first event will be the IAAF Diamond League meeting in Rome on 5 June before she competes in her own country at Ostrava's Golden Spikes event 12 days later.
And along the way she is hoping to revive a much-needed ingredient.
'I miss especially the adrenaline,' said Spotakova. 'It's hard to say what the season will be. I am about as I was before the Olympic Games, which is good news. There is still time left.'
And as she makes this comeback, two of her main rivals will not be there this summer because they, too, are pregnant.
Both Germany's World champion Christina Obergfoll and Russia's former World champion Maria Abakumova are missing as Spotakova chases the one major gold medal missing to her collection.
Eight years ago she won silver at the European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg and then in Barcelona in 2010 she won bronze. Now if her return goes to plan, she should be the favourite in Zurich in August as the top of the podium beckons.
She will be there with quite a record behind her.
Spotakova won the World title in Osaka 2007 before a year later adding Olympic gold in Beijing just a few weeks before taking the World record to 72.82m in Stuttgart.
She retained her Olympic crown in London but missed last year's World Championships in Moscow as her son Janek was born.
Though just under four months after giving birth, she was back competing in Domazlice in September where her winning throw of 62.33m put her 12th on last year's European Athletics rankings.
Now she is hoping to go all the way to the top again and we expect nothing less from this great champion.
