European Athletics President Hansjörg Wirz met with a delegation of members from the Turkish Athletics Federation at the European Athletics Head Office in Lausanne on Thursday.
President Wirz received a special plaque from Fatih Cintimar, President of the Turkish federation.
Also present as part of the delegation was European Athletics Council Member Salih Münir Yaras and General Secretary Fahrettin Yildiz.
During their meeting they discussed ways to further enhance future collaboration.
Currently Türkiye is bidding for the 2017 European Athletics Indoor Championships and European Cup 10,000m with a decision to be made at the next European Athletics Council Meeting in May.
