The 3rd World Javelin Conference from 11-13 November 2014 will be held at the Kuortane Olympic Training Center in Finland. Antti Ruuskanen’s coach Aki Parviainen will be one of the top speakers of the conference.
“It’s been a long way for Antti to take the final step and become European Champion. We all knew about his potential. He has many years of practice without any big injuries which also explains this year's results”, says Parviainen.
One of the key points of his presentation will be an explanation of the training process that Ruuskanen went through working towards this year’s European Athletics Championships in Zurich. It also will be interesting to hear what is required for a former athlete to convert to a successful coach.
Aki Parviainen is world champion from Seville 1999 and silver medallist from Edmonton 2001. His personal best is 93.09m.
