Italy’s Yemaneberhan Crippa and Denmark’s Anna Emilie Moller have been voted men’s and women’s European Athletes of the Month for November.
Voting took place on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and the votes across the three platforms were combined to determine the winner. Crippa on the men’s side tallied 1633 votes ahead of Sweden’s David Nilsson (1579) and Switzerland’s Julien Wanders (1551).
Crippa competes at the SPAR European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg tomorrow and he prepared for the event by winning the senior men’s race at the Warandecross last month which was held on the same course.

On the women’s side, Moller accrued 1712 votes to top the voting ahead of Germany’s Elena Burkard (1512) and Susan Krumins (1302).
Moller won the Nordic Cross Country Championships title in Reykjavik, Iceland and also finished second in Soria on the road to the European Cross Country Championships in Tilburg.
The European Athlete of the Month initiative was launched in January 2007 and is designed to recognise outstanding performances set by European athletes.
