The European Youth Olympic Trials take place in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 30 May to 1 June and will serve as a qualifying measure for the Youth Olympic Games being held in Nanjing, China, in August.
This is a terrific opportunity for all European athletes aged from 16-17 to represent their countries and test themselves against the continent’s best.
All area associations are responsible for organising this event according to IAAF qualification criteria and quotas.
A maximum of two athletes per event per Member Federation are allowed to participate, from which only one athlete is able to compete at the Youth Olympic Games.
The maximum number of events that an athlete can compete in is two individual events. If the two individual events are Track Events, only one of these two races may be longer than 200m.
