UK Athletics has opened the registration website and published the list of speakers for the first European Endurance Conference, which will be staged in London (Heathrow) 8-9 October 2011.
The conference, which is a part of the European Athletics Coaching Summit Series, will be hosted by UK Athletics, England Athletics, The British Milers Club and the Ron Pickering Memorial Fund. It will take place at the Renaissance London Heathrow Hotel and is expected to attract more than 200 coaches from around Europe.
The line-up of expert speakers includes North Americans Terrence Mahon (USA), Wynn Gmitroski (CAN), Thomas Rowland (USA) and Jack Daniels (USA) as well as Britons Barry Fudge, Andy Jones, John Rogers, Toby Smith, Martin Rush, George Gandy and Dave Sunderland.
In addition to the conference programme, the ‘Coaching Legends’ Gala Dinner and the British Milers Club Coaching Awards will take place at the same venue on the evening of Saturday 8 October. Before the dinner, attendees will have a unique opportunity to speak with some of Britain most renowned coaches.

European Athletics’ support for the conference includes the offer of Coaching Summit Series scholarships to its Member Federations to help them cover the costs of travel and accommodation for coaches attending.
