It will be one of the moments of this sporting year - Dafne Schippers running in front of her home crowd at next month’s European Athletics Championships in Amsterdam.
And the Dutch superstar has now revealed she will be taking part in the 100m and the 4x100m relay.
In Zurich 2014, the year she broke through as a sprinter having won world bronze as a heptathlete 12 months earlier, Schippers soared to the European 100m title in 11.12 and the 200m in 22.03.
Since then, her career has just grown, with her amazing exploits at last summer’s IAAF World Championships in Beijing as she took 200m gold in a European record of 21.63 and won 100m silver in a national record of 10.81.
Not since the legendary days of Olympic heroine Fanny Blankers-Koen has the Netherlands had a woman sprinter who has created such a name for herself.
Christina Arron’s European record of 10.73 has stood since the European Athletics Championships in Budapest 1998 and what a night it will be if Schippers breaks that time in Amsterdam.

The Olympic Games in Rio are just a month after the Europeans and Schippers is on the cusp of a summer she might never repeat.
Tonight in Oslo, she runs the 200m at the IAAF Diamond League and she is feeling good.
'I am very happy with the races this season,' Schippers told AFP. 'I don't miss specific things. I am more relaxed than when I did heptathlon, it was very hard on the body and mind.'
'With the European in my home country this will be my preparation for Rio. I am lucky we have no Olympic trials in the Netherlands. For me, the Euros will be my trials,' she said.
