It is a month until the start of the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade and Novak Djokovic, the biggest name in Serbian sport, is backing what should be a fantastic event.
And while they might have a big competition of their own on their mind as they face Russia in the Davis Cup starting today, Serbia’s tennis stars led by 12-time Grand Slam winner Djokovic have shown their full support to the European Athletics Indoor Championships which takes place between 3-5 March.
Djokovic and his teammates Viktor Troicki, playing captain Nenad Zimonjic and Dusan Lajovic are in action across the country in Nis but they have had time to join in the 'month's countdown' to the forthcoming championships in Belgrade by posing with the official logo.
They will capture the attention of the nation this weekend, but come the start of March all eyes will be on Serbia’s long jump superstar Ivana Spanovic who looks to add European indoor gold to her outdoor crown from Amsterdam last summer.
