The reigning Olympic and European champion thrilled and astonished athletics fans everywhere when he set a world record of 6.16m at the European Athletics Indoor Permit Meeting in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk on 15 February.
Lavillenie shared his thoughts on a number of topics, including the World Indoor Championships in Sopot as well as his ambitions for the rest of the season with his main objective the European Athletics Championships in Zurich in August.
