The European Athlete of the Month voting for July is underway through our European Athletics Twitter and Facebook pages. Athletes with the most combined Twitter 'retweets' and Facebook 'likes' will be named winners.

The voting for July closes at 18:00 CET on Wednesday 5 August, so hurry up and cast your vote!

The European Athlete of the Month initiative was launched in January 2007 and is designed to recognise outstanding performers at all levels of the sport in Europe.

No athlete who has previously served a two-year doping ban can be nominated for the European Athlete of the Month.

Women's nominees

Anna Chicherova (RUS) jumped a world-leading height of 2.03m in Lausanne on 9 July.

Christina Schwanitz (GER) her four victories included a 20.60m win in Biberach, Germany, on 13 July.

Dafne Schippers (NED) sped to European-leading 100m and 200m times of 10.92 and 22.09 in July.

Sifan Hassan (NED) ran a national record and European-leading 1500m of 3:56.05 in Monaco on 17 July.

Zuzana Hejnova (CZE) produced a European-leading 400m hurdles of 53.79 in Paris on 4 July.

Men's nominees

Amel Tuka (BIH) produced a world-leading 800m time of 1:42.51 in Monaco on 17 July.

David Storl (GER) reached a European-leading distance of 22.20m in Lausanne on 9 July.

Jimmy Vicaut (FRA) equalled the European 100m record with 9.86 in Paris on 4 July.

Mo Farah (GBR) ran a European-leading 1500m of 3:28.93 and a world-leading 3000m of 7:34.66 in July.

Renaud Lavillenie (FRA) vaulted 6.03m in London on 25 July.
