The Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive (AIPS) and European Athletics will honour veteran journalists who have covered ten or more European Athletics Championships throughout their careers.
Members of the media will be recognised for their significant contribution in the coverage and promotion of European Athletics, at the ongoing 23rd edition of the event held for the first time in the Netherlands.
Journalists who have covered at least ten European Athletics Championships as accredited media representatives, that is Championships spanning from the last 30 years or more, starting from the 1986 European Athletics Championships in Stuttgart will be recognised at the event.
In order to be granted the honour, a journalist must have covered the Championships while working for a media organisation as a reporter/freelance in the written press, a photographer or a TV/radio Reporter. Journalists may provide proof of their coverage (Accreditation badges, articles, photos, etc.).
