“No one can dispute that 2020 has been a most remarkable year. For European Athletics Coaches Association, it started as a year of celebration, marking 60 years since its birth following the Rome 1960 Olympics Games. For the athletics coaches of Europe and the world, their athletes, and all Member Federations, it then became a frustrating struggle to understand and cope with the chaos and danger of the life-threatening Covid 19 virus,” commented Professor Frank Dick, President of the European Athletics Coaches Association.

“But this struggle created a powerful chemistry for us to step up and do what we must to win the game of change in life; and that meant being adaptable, creative, innovative and resilient to turn uncertainty and adversity to advantage.

“EACA has accepted that challenge and continues to honour the goals those original group of coaches that set out to improve the knowledge and quality of coaching throughout Europe. The International Festival of Athletics Coaching now becomes Virtual IFAC 2020, utilising virtual communication technology to learn together utilising one of the few positives to come out of these strange times: the development and acceptance of online meetings and learning,” added Dick.

Registration for IFAC 2020 remains open and is available here.

The registration fee for IFAC 2020 is only €99.00 for all three days and access to all of the sessions online will be both live and on demand. Each session will be recorded and available at the end of each day for attendees to access online.
