This is the second instalment of European Athletics’ #AtHomeWith series which is presented on Instagram Live by Great Britain’s 2016 European long jump silver medallist Jazmin Sawyers.
Only 20, Karalis has come through the pole vaulting ranks with Armand Duplantis. After winning bronze at the 2015 World U18 Championships, Karalis won the inaugural European U18 title in Tbilisi the following season and cleared a world indoor U20 record of 5.78m in 2018. He also finished fourth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships last winter and came away with a silver medal from the European Athletics U23 Championships in Gavle last July.
