The Local Organising Committee is in charge of accommodation for this event. The accommodation request will be processed after registration approval and an email will follow to confirm the status of your request.

Cancellation policy

• For any cancellation made until 21 January 2019, no cancellation fee will be charged.

• For any cancellation made from 22 January 2019, 100% of the total accommodation cost will be charged as a cancellation fee, unless the room is resold.

Transportation

A shuttle service is available to media from the airport to the official hotels. In order to have guaranteed transportation from the airport to the official hotels, your transfer request will have to be submitted at least 48 hours in advance. To have information on how to board the shuttle refer to the transport desk in the Arrival Hall.

Due to security policy and no possibility for luggage storage at the Emirates Arena, we advise to proceed with your accommodation check in procedure first and only after to continue with the accreditation procedure.

A shuttle service will be available from the official hotels to the Main Accreditation Centre/Emirates Arena from Wednesday, 27 February to Sunday, 3 March. A timetable for the service will be available in the official hotels and media help desk at the Emirates Arena.

Visa information

The United Kingdom has strict regulations about who needs a visa to enter the UK. If you are a citizen of a country that requires a UK visa (a visa national) you will NOT be allowed to enter the UK without one.

All applications will be subject to the UK’s Immigration Rules, which are available here. The LOC can support valid applications liaising with the UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI).

Visa nationals and non-visa nationals can enter the UK as visitors for the purpose of taking part in sporting events, including as participants, officials, team support staff, accredited media and VIPs, as permitted by the visitor rules. You can find UK Immigration visitor rules here.

It is strongly advised that all visa applicants begin the application process as soon as possible allowing 15 working days for processing. Please note that applications can be made 3 months before the date of travel.
