The 26th edition of the SPAR European Cross Country Championships will take place in Tilburg in the Netherlands in exactly two months’ time on 9 December.
Preparations are well underway ahead of the championships which will be staged at the recently reopened Beekse Bergen Safari Park on the outskirts of the city.
Recently crowned European 5000m champion Sifan Hassan recently took a tour of the course before announcing her intentions to participate in this year’s race.

According to provisional entries, 37 Member Federations have expressed their intentions to compete in this year’s edition of the championships.
At the last edition of the European Cross Country Championships in Samorin in Slovakia, Great Britain topped the medal table again with six gold medals and nine medals in total.
