Final entries for the Boras 2019 European Athletics U20 Championships have been finalised and can be viewed here.
The championships take place between 18-21 July and will feature 12 athletes who lead the world U20 list in their respective events including Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh who has cleared 2.00m this year and Sweden’s Tilde Johansson who recently set a national U20 record of 6.73m in the long jump.
Mahuchikh and Johansson are also among two of the many competing athletes who won titles at the European Athletics U18 Championships in Gyor last July.
Other names to watch include Ukrainian hammer throwers Myhaylo Kokhan and Valeriya Ivanenko, Bulgaria’s world U20 triple jump champion Aleksandra Nacheva and Ireland’s Sarah Healy who won a 1500/3000m double in Gyor.
Spain’s Maria Vicente, who broke the world U18 heptathlon best last July, also competes but the world U20 list is currently headed by Switzerland’s Annik Kalin with 5952 points. She has also entered the long jump.
